Mumbai, Jun 29 (Reporter) Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Saturday assured the Maharashtra Assembly that instructions will be given to deposit the funds of all special assistance schemes into the beneficiaries' accounts on the fifth of every month. Giving information on the Point of Information question raised by member Bacchu Kadu in the house about delay in providing financial assistance to the weaker sections, he said that the Government of Maharashtra has initiated various schemes for the general public, the marginalised, and the economically-weaker sections across the state. It is necessary that eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits of these schemes on time, he asserted. Upon conclusion of Saturday's session, a discussion will be held with the Finance department's secretaries to understand the factual situation, he said. The state government has made substantial provisions of funds for all special assistance schemes, including the Shravanbal Seva State Pension Scheme, Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Grant Scheme, and schemes for the differently-abled, said Pawar.
