Baramati, Jul 14 (Reporter) Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and NCP (AP) national president, Ajit Pawar, on Sunday exhorted party workers to convey to people of the state during upcoming state assembly election that their party's focus is on people-centric development and eradication of poverty.
Addressing a public rally here, he said one should learn to digest success and be prepared to go in front of public with a new hope.
He said that as Finance Minister, his aim is remove poverty and carry out development for the benefit of people and claimed that he has taken steps in that direction.
Talking about newly launched 'Ladki Bahin Yojana' for women, he said that although he was criticised for having introduced such a scheme in the budget, he was certain that he had the support of the Chief Minister, the Deputy Chief Minister and people of the state.
Pawar emphasised that this plan can be implemented in a good way.
Consequently, women beneficiaries will get Rs 3,000 into their account on the day of Rakshabandhan festival, he said and informed that the Mahayuti has brought this scheme to enable women to become self-reliant.
Additionally, they will get three cooking gas cylinders free, he said.
Talking about farmers, he said that the government has given crop insurance at one rupee, free electricity and Rs 5,000 per acre to cotton and soybean growers.
For milk producing farmers, an additional subsidy of Rs five has been given to them, he informed.
The DyCM promised that there will be no injustice to women, men, old people, youth and girls of Maharashtra.
"We have decided to provide free education to girls from all sections of the society," he said and noted that a provision of Rs 75,000 crore has been made in the budget for various units of the state.
He said that NCP has made development as its agenda and maintained that poverty will be eradicated.
Speaking on occasion, NCP (AP) state president Sunil Tatkare said that on occasion of Ajit Pawar's birthday, a 'Janasamvad Yatra' will be taken out in the state. He assured that he will convey the schemes given by Ajit Pawar to the public.
Tatkare also said that Rs 50,000 will be deposited into the accounts of farmers who regularly repay their loans.
