Mumbai, Oct 12 (Reporter) Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Saturday wished the people of the state on the occasion of Dussehra and Vijayadashami.
In a message, Pawar stated that, 'may this year's Vijayadashami bring success, fame, happiness, prosperity, health and enthusiasm in all of our lives.'
He also said that 'Vijayadashami or Dussehra is a festival of joy and love for all of us. Vijayadashami is a day to celebrate the victory of good tendencies by destroying evil tendencies in the society. It is a day to resolve to conquer falsehood with truth, ignorance with knowledge, enemy with might, enemy with love, impermanence with eternity. The belief that truth always wins is gained through this festival'.
On the day of Dussehra we worship wealth, knowledge, devotion, power. Dussehra, the festival that comes after the holy festival of Navratri, is a symbol of our glorious culture, Pawar said.
The Deputy Chief Minister has expressed the belief that this lively festival will definitely bring happiness in the lives of all of us.
The state government is trying to make the days of happiness and joy come in the lives of the underprivileged and marginalized including the victims, women and youth of the state. The government has announced many ambitious schemes for various sectors and it is being effectively implemented.
On the occasion of Dussehra this year, let us all come together for the benefit of the state, he said .
