Nashik, Aug 10 (Reporter) Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and NCP-AP president, Ajit Pawar, on Saturday hit out at the opposition for criticising the Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, saying that they are opposing without any concrete reasons, and they will know the value of Rs 1,500.
While addressing the women of Sinnar assembly constituency in the district as part of NCP's 'Jansanman Yatra', he said, "Today is the third day of the Jansanman Yatra in the state. We have taken this Yatra to tell what the state government has done for people, what plans have been undertaken, after the NCP-AP joined the Mahayuti (grand alliance).
He further said that he will not let the faith reposed in him by women to break.
"I will not let this faith break, I know financial discipline, have been presenting the state budget for 10 years is not a simple task," he said.
The Deputy Chief Minister assured that he will try to solve the problem of local industries owners by convening a meeting of MIDC officials and Mahavitaran (state power utility) chief Uday Samant.
Also, he will try to fulfil demands of the Sinnar Taluka Industrial Estate, he said.
He further said that the pace of investments in Maharashtra has increased and cited examples of Toyota Kirloskar and Jindal Group saying that they are bringing two projects worth Rs 40,000 crore each in the state.
He also said that industrial workers are being trained in upgradation of skills and pointed that skilled manpower from Maharashtra is in demand in countries like Japan and France.
He exhorted the youths of the state to change their way of thinking and go out for work.
Pawar also said that he was trying to expedite the Nashik-Pune high speed railway.
He also assured that a provision for a memorial of revolutionary Raghoji Bhangre at Sinner has been made in the state budget.
“A memorial of early revolutionary Raghoji Bhangre has been demanded at Sinner and a provision has been made for it in the budget. So now we are going to pay attention to how it will be done," he added...////...
