Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Sep 1 (Reporter) Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis asserted on Sunday that increasing participation of women in legal field is a positive thing and it is an indication that the Indian justice system is robust.
Speaking at inauguration function of the Girls' Hostel building of Maharashtra National Law College here, he said, "Increasing participation of women in the field of law and justice is a positive factor."
He further said that investors are eager to come to India because of the belief that investment process will be done legally due to a good judicial system.
"As a result, we are moving towards becoming the best economy in the world," he noted.
Though some anti-social elements try to create instability, answer to any problem is found in the Indian
Constitution, he observed and pointed that "our law is self-sufficient in curbing such tendencies."
Talking about widespread use of technology in every aspect of life, Fadnavis said, "We are taking steps in the right direction to make the justice process more technology-friendly and people-oriented."
Expressing satisfaction over establishment and operationalisation of the three law universities in Maharashtra during his tenure, he said that the Supreme Court and High Court judges, who have contributed to formation of all these law universities, are keeping a close eye on developments in these universities.
Fadnavis congratulated students for getting a hostel for girls and made an appeal to them to follow discipline and acquire knowledge in the field of law...////...
