Maha: EC directs candidates to open separate bank account for poll expenses

Mumbai, Nov 2 (Reporter) The Election Commission of India has directed all the candidates who are contesting the Maharashtra Assembly election to open a separate bank account for their election expenses and transact through it. As per the EC's Expenditure Instructions Summary 2024 for the Assembly election, candidates must deposit the entire amount for election expenses in the respective bank account and must pay their election expenses through cheque, Dhanakarsh, RTGS, NEFT from the bank account opened for election.
