Amravati (Maharashtra), Apr 16 (Reporter) With the objective that no voter should be deprived of voting, a 'home voting' facility was made available for the first time by the Election Commission of India (ECI) to voters above 85 years of age and Persons with Disabilities (PwDs).
About 1104 voters of Amravati Lok Sabha Constituency exercised the right of home voting.
According to ECI sources said, "In the second phase of Lok Sabha election, voting for Amravati constituency will be held on April 26."
This year, the Commission conducted home voting for voters over 85 years of age and PwD voters who filled out the 12th form.
A total of 1,167 citizens of Amravati Lok Sabha Constituency had shown their desire for home voting. Out of them, 1,104 voters across six assembly segments exercised their right to vote.
In this case, the number of voters above 85 years old is 922, and the number of disabled voters is 182. They exercised their right to vote spontaneously with privacy through ballot paper...////...
