Mumbai, Aug 1 (Reporter) Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced on Thursday that the government would extend the benefits of various schemes to maximum number of citizens during the Revenue Fortnight and Animal Husbandry Fortnight, on the lines of 'Shasan Apalya Dari' initiative.
Speaking after inauguration of a state-level Revenue Day celebration as well as the launch of Revenue Fortnight and Animal Husbandry Fortnight-2024 at the Council Hall of Mantralaya here, he highlighted importance of Revenue and Animal Husbandry departments for citizens and rural people, respectively.
He asked the Revenue department officials to take the lead and work with other departments to raise image of the government by ensuring delivery of the benefits of various schemes to citizens during the Revenue Fortnight.
Similarly, he also asked Agriculture, Health, Irrigation, Water Resources, Cooperation and all other departments to work together.
The Chief Minister instructed the district, taluka and village-level officials and employees to go to maximum number of people and explain to them the schemes of the government.
During the Animal Husbandry Fortnight, important issues like milk adulteration in the state would be taken up, he said and directed officials to take necessary actions like the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) and the Maharashtra Prevention of Dangerous Activities (MPDA) Act to punish the counterfeiters, he added...////...
