Pune, Sep 19 (Reporter) Maharashtra Congress spokesperson, Gopal Tiwari, on Thursday demanded that cases should be filed against Shiv Sena (Shinde) MLA Sanjay Gaikwad and BJP Rajya Sabha MP Anil Bonde for allegedly making inflammatory statements against Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi.
In a press release here, he said that the MLAs and MPs of the ruling party are making provocative statements with an aim to incite violence against senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who holds the constitutional post of Leader of the Opposition.
He demanded that the Bombay High Court and the police administration should take immediate action and arrest and file cases against the duo of Sanjay Gaikwad and Anil Bonde, who are inciting violence.
The Congress leader alleged that the Mahayuti (grand alliance government), which came to power in an unethical and unconstitutional way only with a 'monstrous desire to eliminate the opposition', repeatedly brings those accused of corruption into power and gives official recognition to corrupt in Shiv Chhatrapati's Maharashtra.
He further alleged the state Home minister Devendra Fadnavis only talks about breaking the opposition, while doing little to improve the law and order situation and bring down rising crime rate in the state.
Hence, the remaining two pillars of democracy such as administration and judiciary should take a suo moto action to maintain the law and order situation in the state, he said in an appeal.
Tiwari warned that if no action is taken against both Gaikwad and Bonde, then the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) will take a serious notice of the concerned and take action against the administrators "who are not duty-oriented towards the people of Maharashtra", he added...////...
