Maha: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman appointed as observer for BJP

Mumbai, Dec 2 (Reporter) Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has been appointed as central observer for the Maharashtra legislative party meeting scheduled to be held on Wednesday, sources in the party confirmed on Monday. Sources also said that besides Sitharaman, former Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani has also been appointed as observer by the BJP parliamentary board. Both top leaders of the party will attend the meeting of all 132 newly elected Maharashtra BJP MLAs, who will elect the party’s new state legislative leader. BJP insiders have already indicated that Devendra Fadnavis will be the next chief minister of the BJP-led Mahayuti government in Maharashtra.
