Pune, Oct 27 (Reporter) Ayurveda is India's precious gift to humanity and its promotion and dissemination along with its research and development is essential, said Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.
He was speaking at a medical conference recently at Nagpur while honouring Bharat Vikas Group (BVG) chairman Hanumantrao Gaikwad for his remarkable research in the field of ayurveda.
Speaking further, he said that as ayurveda is not just a method of treatment but a way of life, its benefits reach more people and make the whole world healthy.
Gadkari, while appreciating the work of Gaikwad, said that research of BVG has proved that ayurvedic
treatment can be effective in many chronic diseases like Parkinson's, cancer, diabetes, blood pressure.
Today, many people are doing research in the field of ayurveda, that work is valuable, he added.
