Maha: Govt announces affordable housing scheme

Mumbai, Oct 12 (Reporter) Before announcement of model code of conduct for Assembly election in Maharashtra, the BJP-led Mahayuti government on Saturday announced an affordable housing scheme of 26,502 housing units to residents of Navi Mumbai. The scheme was officially launched through the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO). Chief Minister Eknath Shinde unveiled this initiative to address the growing demand for affordable housing in the state under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for the economically weaker section (EWS) and low-income group (LIG). According to available details, starting from today, October 12 at 1100 hours, online registration for the CIDCO housing scheme is open. Interested applicants can register through the official CIDCO website, which will allow them to secure their preferred home. Under the scheme named ‘My Preferred CIDCO Home’, the buyers will get homes as per their choice, like floor, tower, and location. The window for selecting preferences and paying the booking amount will remain open for 15 days...////...
