Maha: Govt orders SIT probe, judicial inquiry into Sarpanch Deshmukh murder case

Beed, Dec 24 (Reporter) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said here on Tuesday that a special investigation team (SIT) and a judge will conduct probe into the murder of former sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh. As the incidents in Beed and Parbhani are unfortunate, the government has taken a serious note of both incidents, he said. The Chief Minister said that a case under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) will be registered against the accused once inquiry will be over. When asked who will be the guardian minister of Beed, he replied that he along with Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar will together take a decision soon...////...
