Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Sep 17 (Reporter) Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said on Tuesday that the state government has taken a conciliatory stance on issue of reservation for the Maratha community and appealed the members of the community and quota activist Manoj Jarange-Patil to cooperate with him.
He made this appeal after Jarange-Patil has again started fast agitation at Antarwali Sarati village since midnight to press for his demand of reservation for Marathas.
Talking to reporters after attending a function to mark 76th anniversary of Marathwada Liberation Day (also known as Marathwada Mukti Sangram Din) at Siddharth Garden here, he promised to give reservation to the Maratha community which will not mislead anyone, fits within the framework of law and will not do injustice to any other community.
The Chief Minister also promised that he will not cheat any community on the issue of reservation and will give all that is possible within the framework of the law.
Shinde said, "... it is my appeal and request that after the government takes the role of co-operation, the Maratha community should reciprocate...////...
