Pune, Jul 21 (Reporter) Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said on Sunday that he will take up issue of extending ambit of newly launched 'Ladki Bahin Yojana' to transgenders in a state cabinet meeting soon. He gave this assurance to NCP (AP) city unit president Deepak Mankar at a meet of party workers organised at historical Kesari wada here. Mankar made an appeal to DyCM Pawar to make available benefits of popular 'Ladki Bahin Yojana' to the members of transgender community residing in Maharashtra. While giving assurance, Pawar said that he would look at the issue positively. Mankar also said that people of Maharashtra, specially poor women, are very happy after launch of this scheme...////...
