Mumbai, Nov 25 (Reporter) The Bombay High Court on Monday dismissed a petition filed by Mihir Shah, the son of a former Shiv Sena (Shinde) leader and one of the prime accused in the Worli hit-and-run case, alleging that his arrest and that of another accused in the case was illegal and sought direction to release them.
The petition was moved by Shah and his driver Rajrishi Bidawat seeking immediate release, contending that the police did not inform them about the grounds of arrest while taking them into custody.
A division bench of Justices Bharati Dangre and Manjusha Deshpande, while dismissing the plea, said in an one-line oral order that “Both the petitions are dismissed.”
The detailed order will be made available later...////...
