Sangli, Nov 15 (Reporter) A man was seriously injured after a notorious criminal allegedly shot at him over a monetary dispute in Ganeshnagar area of the city on Friday. Criminals Pappu Fakde and Imran Danvade had a dispute over money dealing with one Salim Maqbul Munawar (42). The duo contacted Salim, through another notorious criminal Mohamad alias Mhamdya Jamal Nadaf, and called him at Sarvdharm chowk in Ganeshnagar area of the city early this morning and fired at Salim, police said. In this incident, Salim was seriously injured and was admitted at civil hospital here. Upon receiving information of incident, DSP Sandeep Ghuge and other senior police officers rushed to the spot and launched a search operation for assailants. A team of Local Crime Branch arrested suspect Mohamad Nadaf however four other accomplices absconded after the incident. There are a total of 23 criminal cases, including murder, attempted murder, assault, registered against suspect Nadaf and he has been externed by the Maharashtra and Karnataka police.
