Satara, Aug 11 (Reporter) Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange-Patil on Sunday strongly criticised Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) president Raj Thackeray over his recent remark.
Notably, the MNS chief had contended that there was no need for quota in the state if youths should be given priority in job opportunities.
While giving his reaction to Raj Thackeray's statement in a press conference here, the quota activist advised the MNS chief not to impose his views on other people, arguing that Raj Thackeray may not need reservation, but others need it.
He should know that reservation is the need for poor people of the state, he reasoned.
Jarange-Patil denied that the members of Maratha community were involved in agitation of throwing betel nuts on Raj Thackeray's car and they do not resort to such kind of agitations.
However, the Maratha community has strength and power to go to Mumbai and seek explanation from authorities, he added...////...
