Maha: Minister Rane gives strange ultimatum to village heads in Sindhudurg

Kolhapur / Sindhudurg, Feb 13 (Reporter) Maharashtra and Guardian Minister of Sindhudurg district Nitesh Rane on Thursday stirred a controversy by stating that no funds will be released to those villages where the Sarpanch (village head) is of opposition Shiv Sena (UBT) or other Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance parties at the end of this fiscal year unless they join BJP. Addressing a convention of BJP workers at Kudal in Sindhudurg district in the presence of BJP's state working president Ravindra Chavan, he said that after March 31, he would not give goverment's official funds to those villages where Sarpanch is of Sena (UBT) or MVA's other alliance partners and gave an ultimatum that if they want funds for development of their villages then they should join the ruling BJP. Rane further said that he has already directed his party workers to prepare a list of the villages with Sarpanch of Sena (UBT) or other MVA partners so that he would not release any funds for development of those villages.
