Mumbai, Jan 29 (Reporter) Maharashtra Minister and BJP leader, Nitesh Rane, on Wednesday urged the Mahayuti government to ban the use of Hijab by the students who are appearing for SSC and HSC board exams to be held shortly.
In a letter to Education Minister Dadaji Bhuse, he asked the minister to issue a directive for not allowing the students to enter the examination hall in hijab.
Rane has raised the concerns over potential cheating, he said that the students might enter the examination centre in a hijab which may increase their chances of cheating in the examination.
"Students appearing for Class 10 and 12 board examinations should not be permitted to appear in the exam while wearing a hijab. Additionally, if necessary, female police officers, officials, or teaching staff should be appointed for case-by-case verification, as directed at the government level," he said in the letter
He also said in the letter, "The Class 10 and 12 examinations are crucial for students, as their entire future depends on these exams. It is essential to ensure that these examinations are conducted transparently and free from any malpractice, including cheating. The government has issued specific guidelines in this regard...////...
