Mumbai, Oct 16 (Reporter) Shortly after the Mahayuti government released a report card on its achievements during two-and-a-half-year rule, Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Nana Patole on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on the Eknath Shinde-headed government, calling all its claims of development as "false" and "fabricated".
He stated that Maharashtra has fallen behind other states in terms of development under Eknath Shinde’s leadership, which came to power through conspiracies, dishonesty, and unconstitutional methods.
During the Congress rule, Maharashtra was number one in all aspects but under Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, the state has deteriorated.
Maharashtra has been completely ruined by the agents of Gujarat over past two years, he claimed.
Exposing the claims made by the BJP alliance government, MPCC chief accused the administration of plundering Maharashtra at the behest of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, turning the state into nothing more than an ATM (automated teller machine) for them.
Large projects that were intended for Maharashtra were diverted to Gujarat, while Shinde, Fadnavis, and Ajit Pawar remained silent, he claimed and charged that Fadnavis even went on to defend investments in Gujarat.
As businesses moved to other states, Maharashtra has seen a surge in unemployment, he claimed.
This government has not only let industries move to Gujarat but has also brought in narcotic drugs from Gujarat, destroying the youth here, he charged.
Important land parcels in Mumbai have been handed over to their beloved industrialists, and tenders have been issued to benefit contractors, all the while the government reaped profits quietly for the past two years, Patole added.
"It is laughable for Chief Minister Shinde to talk about report card; he should instead be talking about a 'rate card," he quipped...////...
