Maha: MPCC chief visits Lord Vitthala temple at Pandharpur, offers prayers

Pandharpur, Jul 15 (Reporter) On occasion of Ashadhi Vari, Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president, Nana Patole, on Monday visited Vitthal-Rukmini temple at Pandharpur and prayed for the happiness and prosperity of the state. He also prayed that Maharashtra should be free from unemployment and farmers' suicides and maintain social harmony in the state. Before taking darshan of Lord Vitthala, Patole had 'darshan' of Jagatguru Sant Shri Tukaram Maharaj's palanquin at Pirachi Kuroli in Pandharpur taluka. He also participated in the palkhi ceremony of Sant Dnyaneshwar Mauli at Bajirao Well and played footy with the Warkaris while walking in dindi. He also visited Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj Palkhi at Mangalvedha, where the entire area was filled with devotion to the chants of Gyanoba Mauli Tukaram and 'Gana Gan Ganat Bote'. Every year after the arrival of the palkhis, Patole goes to Solapur district to have 'darshan' of the palakhis and enjoy devotion to Vithumauli along with the Warkaris...////...
