Mumbai, Dec 10 (Reporter) The city police have arrested a man from Ajmer in Rajasthan for allegedly sending a message to Mumbai Police's helpline number threatening to kill Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The suspect, identified as Mohammed Nadim Baig Mirza, a resident of Jharkhand, was arrested on Monday night, police said on Tuesday.
Two days ago, Mirza had called the Worli Traffic Control Cell and informed about the conspiracy to assassinate PM Modi.
He had reportedly said that two agents of Pakistan's spy agency Inter-Services Intelligence were plotting the murder of the prime minister and also had weapons required for it.
Taking a serious note of the incident, police have arrested Mirza from Ajmer, who gave false information to the control room.
Police are now investigating his motive to make call to Mumbai Police control room, addded sources...////...
