Maha: NCP to kickstart its 'Janasanman Yatra' from Nashik on Aug 8: chief

Mumbai, Aug 5 (Reporter) The first phase of 'Jan Sanman Yatra' of NCP-AP will get under way on August eight from Dindori of Nashik district. Briefing about the yatra in a press conference here on Monday, NCP state president Sunil Tatkare said that in the first leg, it will travel to North Maharashtra, Western Maharashtra, Mumbai and Vidarbha and will conclude on August 31. Stating that the name 'Jan Sanman Yatra' was given because of their strong belief in democracy, he said that through this yatra, they want to convey information about the people-oriented schemes announced by the party chief and the Finance Minister Ajit Pawar in the state budget. On occasion of the 'Jan Sanman Yatra', Ajit Pawar will directly interact with the members of all sections of the society, the NCP-AP chief said and informed that through this yatra, they will also seek to know expectations of the community members. "Through this yatra, we will hold two meetings or programmes in each assembly constituency. Ajit Pawar will interact with women, youths, farmers, tribals and marginalised groups. In this dialogue, efforts will be made to convey the plans more effectively through the government's mechanisms and also understand their feelings," he said.
