Maha: Police register 1st FIR under new criminal law in Sawantwadi: DyCM

Mumbai, Jul 1 (Reporter) Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said in the Maharashtra Assembly that the first FIR (first information report) in the state under the new Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) was registered by the Sawantwadi police in Sindhudurg district on Monday. Without giving details of the case, he informed that the first FIR under the new criminal law provisions was registered at 0219 hours at the Sawantwadi police station.
