Mumbai, Apr 16 (Reporter) In a major breakthrough, the city police have arrested two people from Gujarat for allegedly firing bullets at the home of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan recently, official sources said here on Tuesday. The shooters, identified as Vicky Gupta (24) and Sagar Pal (21), were arrested from Bhuj. They were brought to Mumbai early this morning amidst tight security. They were traced to a location in Bhuj, Gujarat, where they had fled after firing at least four rounds at Salman Khan’s home in Galaxy Apartments in western suburb of Bandra at around 0500 hours on April 14. Later, they were produced before a local court, which remanded them into police custody for 10 days, sources said. Earlier on Monday, Mumbai Crime Branch had detained two people connected with the motorbike, bearing a Raigad registration number, used by the shooters. As per sources in Crime Branch, the bike that was used by the shooters was later found parked near the Mount Mary Church, which is in close proximity to Salman's residence. It may be recalled that one Anmol Bishnoi, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility of the attack on Sunday evening. In a Facebook post, he stated that the firing was only a "trailer", and if Salman does not apologise to the Bishnoi community, he will have to face dire consequences. The case is currently being probed by Crime Branch after initial investigation by the local Bandra police. Police, which have formed 15 probe teams, are also probing if there are any potential threats of the shootout in Raigad, where the Khan family has a farmhouse at Panvel...////...
