Maha: Sanjay Raut denies speculation of meeting Amit Shah

Mumbai, Oct 21 (Reporter) Shiv Sena (UBT) MP and chief spokesperson, Sanjay Raut, on Monday denied speculation in some quarters that he reportedly met ruling BJP’s Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the run-up to the Maharashtra Assembly election due on November 20. Talking to media here, he rubbished predictions of a ruling Shiv Sena leader that SS (UBT), led by Uddhav Thackeray, would return to the BJP-NDA fold. “These are just rumours being spread by the ruling side’s media machinery. We know who is doing it and why… We also have our own small ‘Pegagus’ set-up, which keeps us informed,” asserted Raut, while referring to infamous Israeli spywares scam that rocked the Indian polity some four years ago. He made it clear that the SS (UBT) has been struggling hard for the past few years for safeguarding the pride of Maharashtra, "but it was not for joining the BJP, which had broken up the (undivided) Shiv Sena founded by Bal Thackeray, stolen its name and poll symbol” and handed over the state's reins to a 'traitor' (CM Eknath Shinde) in June 2022. He reiterated that the question of supporting the BJP or Prime Minister Narendra Modi or Shah would tantamount to joining hands with the Mughal general Afzal Khan...////...
