Maha tops in receiving foreign direct investment in the country: CM

Mumbai, Jan 3 (Reporter) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday claimed that the state has topped in the country in receiving Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). He also claimed that the state has achieved the target of getting FDI for the current financial year within six months. The second quarter of the financial year 2024-25 ended in September and its figures have been released. This data was presented by the Chief Minister. In the first six months of the current fiscal, FDI worth Rs 1,13,263 crores have been received. Fadnavis also took the review of the last four years of FDI and said, the average foreign direct investment of Rs 1,11,556 crore the state is receiving every year. He said that state has emerged as "number one" in attracting Foreign Direct Investment by already receiving 95 percent of its annual average FDI inflow in just the first six months of the financial year 2024-25. The Chief Minister congratulated Maharashtra for this achievement.
