Mumbai, Jul 30 (Reporter) Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president, Nana Patole, on Tuesday made an earnest appeal to party workers that as the state assembly election is round the corner, they should work hard to emulate success of the Lok Sabha election in the assembly election and to bring the Congress and the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) to power.
Presiding over a review meeting of the minority section of the state Congress at the party headquarter here, he accused the ruling BJP of is playing dirty politics by creating divisions on basis of religion.
"While BJP is working to divide the country, senior party leader Rahul Gandhi is working to unite the country," he asserted and said that the Congress is a party that works with all castes and religions.
"In the Lok Sabha election, Janata (public) stood strongly with the Congress and INDIA bloc," he reminisced.
In the Lok Sabha election, various parties from across the country came together to form the INDIA bloc and the Maha Vikas Agadhi (MVA) partners contested the election together in the state, the MPCC chief informed.
In the Lok Sabha election, Dalits, backward classes, tribals, minority communities, women, youths got the voice through INDIA bloc and now the people feel that there should be a change in the state as well, he pointed.
"We should go to people and convey the ideas of the Congress," he added.
Patole appealed the party workers to work for the party and hoist the banner of victory of Congress on the assembly...////...
