Nanded, Apr 1 (Reporter) Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashokrao Chavan had to turn back after a group of villagers blocked his convoy and tried to pelt stones at the cars when he went to Kondha under Nanded parliamentary constituency to campaign for the BJP candidate Prataprao Chikhalikar on Monday.
Chavan, who crossed over to the BJP from Congress recently, was forced to retreat after facing the wrath of the villagers who shouted “Ek Maratha, lakh Maratha”,
As soon as Chavan’s convoy entered the village, it was stopped by the villagers.
The slogan-shouting youths tried to question Chavan and even tried to stone the cars at Ardhapur taluka.

The police also tried in vain to disperse the crowd, as tension mounted. Finally, Chavan turned back without campaigning...////...
