Maharashtra cabinet expansion today, new Ministers to take oath

Mumbai, Dec 15 (Reporter) The Cabinet expansion of the new BJP-led Maharashtra government will take place on Sunday evening where new ministers will take oath at a ceremony to be held in Nagpur. BJP Maharashtra spokesperson Sandeep Khardekar said that Chandrakant Patil and Madhuri Mishal from Pune will be inducted into the Devendra Fadnavis Ministry. The cabinet is being expanded a day before the week-long winter session of Maharashtra state legislature which will begin in Nagpur . Mr Khardekar further said a few days ago, BJP state president Chandrashekhar Bawankule had met Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar separately regarding the cabinet expansion. Earlier, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had met Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss power distribution and the priorities of the newly formed government. Both the leaders discussed the plans and projects to be implemented in the state. Mahayuti had achieved a tremendous success in the assembly election by securing 230 seats.
