Mumbai, Jan 26 (Reporter) Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Friday unfurled the tricolour at his official residence here on the occasion of the nation's 75th Republic Day.
In his message, Shinde greeted the citizens of the state. "I also salute Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Mahatma Jyotirao Phule, Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule, Rajshree Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj, Bharat Ratna Doctor Babasaheb Ambedkar. My salutations also to the known and unknown revolutionaries of India's freedom struggle," he said.
Describing Maharashtra as the country's growth engine, he said the incumbent Mahayuti government has fulfilled its duty and responsibility during the last one and a half years to ensure the state maintained the position.
"Maharashtra started making its mark on all fronts like social, economic, industrial, cultural and sports. We say that there is a small India in Maharashtra and that is why our unity is important to keep the flag of India's progress flying high," he said.
Shinde asserted that his government is inclusive and would contribute $1 trillion towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s goal of making India a $5 trillion nation...////...
