Mumbai, Jan 24 (Reporter) Under the leadership of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, the Department of Industries, Urban Development, MMRDA, and CIDCO has succeeded in signing a memorandum of understanding worth Rs 15.70 lakh crore for the first time in the history of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Industry Minister and Marathi Language Minister Uday Samant said.
After returning from Davos, Industries Minister Samant was speaking to reporters last night at Bandra (East), Mumbai.
The industries minister said that in the last two years, seven and a half million MoUs were signed. One lakh 37 thousand crores was signed in the first year and three lakh 70 thousand crores in the second year.
If the entrepreneurs are given permits in time, space is made available, and then the entrepreneurs are ready to invest and set up projects. He said on this occasion that production of Coca-Cola is starting in Ratnagiri in the next two to four months, and Mahindra and Mahindra projects are also starting in Pune.
Industries Minister Samant further said that in this entire process, projects worth Rs 35 thousand crores are coming to Ratnagiri, and one of them is a semiconductor project that will provide employment to 20 thousand young women.
He said that the Dhirubhai Ambani Defence Cluster, a project worth approximately 10 to 14 thousand crores, is coming up in Ratnagiri, and through this, many lakhs of unemployed people will get employment.
Giving more information, Samant said that the Maitri Act, introduced two years ago, is the first transparent law for entrepreneurs in Maharashtra. Now we are improving the Maitri portal, and in this, after applying to an officer, the officers will also have to answer how long the application is pending and why the application is pending.
