Mahayuti alliance partners set eyes on winning over 45 LS seats in Maha: NCP chief

Kolhapur / Raigad, Mar 7 (Reporter) Maharashtra NCP (Ajit Pawar group) president Sunil Tatkare on Thursday said that the Mahayuti alliance partners -- Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), Shiv Sena (Shinde) and NCP (Ajit Pawar) -- have set target of winning more than 45 Lok Sabha seats out of 48 in the state. Addressing a press conference in Raigad, he said that a decision on seat sharing will be done harmoniously and meditatively between three alliance partners. The NCP chief, who earlier met Union Home Minister Amit Shah along with party's national president Ajit Pawar and working president Praful Patel on Wednesday, expressed confidence that the seat distribution will be held in a proper way and honourably. He said that since Shah and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis were instrumental in NCP joining NDA, therefore, there was no discussion on any constituency and in next two days they would announce seat allotments, he informed. While criticising Shiv Sena leader Anant Gite, Tatkare said that in 2014 election, he would have defeated him (Gite) but in 2019, he was defeated by 33,000 votes.
