Major fire breaks out at third floor of Acropolis Mall in Kolkata, No casaulty

Kolkata, June 14 (Reporter) A major fire broke out at the third floor mezzanine of the 21-storied Acropolis Mall in South Kolkata on Friday. About 15 fire fighting vehicles were deployed to douse the flames, West Bengal Fire Minister Sujit Bose said. There has been no casualty in the fire, which was first noticed around 1230 hours and all the people had been evacuated safely using the staircase. A fire brigade official said the fire started in the book store at the third floor mezzanine, which was brought under control. He said all the glass windows broke open using hydraulic ladder to let out the smoke from the rooms before the cooling process of the area began. Bose said the investigation was being carried out to find out the cause of the fire and a forensic test was ordered. One of the employees of the upper floor said they had not heard the fire until a security personnel shouted to leave the office due to fire in the third floor of the mall...////...
