Mamata Banerjee capable of heading INDIA bloc: Sharad Pawar

Mumbai, Dec 8 (Reporter) Nationalist Congress Party (SP) chief Sharad Pawar has said that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is capable of heading the INDIA bloc. Talking to reporters in Kolhapur on Saturday, Pawar said the Trinamool Congress chief has the right to show her intent to head the opposition alliance. Several leaders within the INDIA alliance has also welcomed Banerjee’s statement. NCP (SP) leader Supriya Sule said she is pleased with Banerjee’s willingness to shoulder additional responsibility. Reacting to this, Shiv Sena (Shinde group) MP Uday Sawant said that it is an "insult" to the Congress. This proves that the Congress leadership is not good enough or capable enough to lead. Sharad Pawar himself has cleared this. The opposition INDI alliance appears to be facing internal discord, with differences among its member parties coming to the fore. Following the defeat of the Maha Vikas Aghadi coalition in Maharashtra, Mamata Banerjee expressed her desire to take over the leadership of the INDIA alliance, stating that "those running it" is incapable of effectively leading the opposition bloc...////...
