Kolkata, June 11 (Reporter) The Mamata Banerjee government in West Bengal has increased DA (Dearness Allowance) and DR (Dearness Relief) by 4 percent for government employees with effect from April 1, 2024, according to a notification issued on Tuesday. The Governor has been pleased to decide that enhancement of the rate of Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief in respect of the employees and pensioners/ family pensioners respectively of the state government and government aided educational institutions , statutories bodies , government undertakings, Panchayats including panchayat karmies, municipal corporations/municipalities, local bodies, and daily rate of wages for the daily rated workers as was allowed shall be effective from 1/4/2024 the notification said...////...
