Mamata Banerjee thanks India bloc leaders for backing her to lead anti-BJP coalition

Kolkata, Dec 11 (Reporter) West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday thanked those India bloc leaders who reposed their confidence in her as the leader of the non-BJP coalition in the country. "I am indebted to everyone for those who have shown confidence in me to lead the non-BJP coalition in the country. I also pray for their good health. I want them as well as their party to stay well. I also want INDIA to stay well," the Trinamool Congress chairperson Mamata Banerjee said during a programme in East Medinipur. The Chief Minister is on a three-day official visit to the coastal town of Digha, a tourist resort where the government was building a temple of Lord Jagannath. Banerjee's statement came a few days after former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav expressed his solidarity with the TMC chairman to lead the India bloc. " I led the formation of the INDIA bloc and now it is up to those leading the bloc to lead it. If they can not run the bloc, what can I do?
