Mamata govt again invites protesting doctors for talks

Kolkata, Sep 12 (Reporter) The West Bengal government on Thursday once again invited the agitating junior doctors for a meeting at the state secretariat Nabanna where Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is present, according to a letter from state Chief Secretary Manoj Panth emailed to agitators in the afternoon. This is a third attempt in as many days by the government to bring agitating doctors to the discussion table so that the paralysed services at Outdoor Patient Departments in hospitals can be restored at the earliest. In the letter, Panth said the Chief Minister will be happy to receive the medics at 4.45 pm at Nabanna but the proceedings of the meeting cannot be telecast live.
