Kolkata, Sep 14 (Reporter) West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday invited the protesting junior doctors to her Kalighat residence for a meeting at 6 PM in order to find out a solution after the doctors have been on a 'cease work' from August 9 demanding justice for the rape and murder of a PG trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.
State Chief secretary Manoj Pant in an email invited 15 junior doctors to attend a meeting with the CM at her Kalighat residence in south Kolkata at 6 PM.
Sources said the medics have decided to attend the meeting and decided to go in a bus from Salt Lake in east Kolkata to south Kolkata.
The junior doctors, however, are leaving for Mamata's residence with 30-member delegation, sources added.
Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister made a surprise visit to the protesting junior doctors site at Swasthya Bhavan and appealed to them to resume duty. She assured the doctors to give time so that she would look into their demands and take action if anyone was found guilty...////...
