Kolkata, May 3 (Reporter) West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on
Friday questioned why Prime Minister Narendra Modi was "tight-lipped"
on the issue of alleged molestation charge against Governor CV Ananda
Bose despite the PM spending last night at the Raj Bhawan and his
officials being stationed around the time of the incident.
Meanwhile, Bose in an audio message on Friday said, " Waiting for next
grenade and your hidden bullets, please fire : the gubernatorial
office said
a day after the sexual harassment complaint from a contractual
employee in the Raj Bhawan.
Bose referred to himself as the ‘captain of the storm’ and warned his
staff of ‘a more sinister plot’ being ‘hatched in the Raj Bhavan. "
Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee during an election rally at
East Bardhaman slammed the Governor for his alleged misconduct
with a woman employee in Raj Bhavan.
" My heart bleeds for the woman who was molested twice at Raj Bhavan
and it is a shame, " Banerjee alleged.
" I strongly condemned the appalling incident in Raj Bhawan. It's
deeply disturbing that the same Governor, who showed great urgency in
reaching Sandeshkhali now stands accused of molesting a female staff
member. PM@narendramodi's spent the night there and his officials
were stationed at Raj Bhawan around the time the incident took
place, So, why is he tight-lipped? " AITC quoted party supremo as saying.
Bose further said, “Now I have information which is very important.
Now I have information, my friends, that a more sinister plot has been
hatched in the Raj Bhavan. We know the characters responsible for
this. Beware..” and " “Waiting for the next grenade and your hidden
bullets….Please fire”. Referring to himself as the “captain of the
storm”, the governor also warned staff of “a more sinister plot” being
“hatched in Raj Bhavan."
Bose said, “Dear members of the Raj Bhavan staff. I welcome all
generous allegations and the frequent innuendos passed on me by a
political force. I understand there is more in the offing. But one
thing is clear. None of the absurd dramas is going to deter me from a
determined effort to expose corruption and curb violence. Character
assassination is the last resort of a failing malevolence. Those who
engineer these filthy narratives have a totally moribund character."
On Thursday afternoon, hours before the PM was scheduled to arrive at
Raj Bhavan for night halt, a woman employee lodged a police complaint
accusing Bose of sexual harassment.
Whilst the ruling TMC highlighted the controversial issue, the
Governor retaliated saying the “truth would triumph,” and he would not
be “cowed down by engineered narratives."
“Now I have information which is very important. Now I have
information, my friends, that a more sinister plot has been hatched in
the Raj Bhawan. We know the characters responsible for this. Beware,"
