Imphal, Nov 11 (Reporter) Eleven suspected Kuki militants and a CRPF jawan were killed in an encounter at Jakuradhor Karong of Borobekra Subdivision in Jiribam district in Manipur on Monday. Kuki militants launched attacks on farmers and civilians for the third consecutive day. A youth who was working in a field at Imphal East was shot at and injured. In Bishnupur district, Kuki militants fired bombs and rained bullets on farmers to stop agricultural activities. In Jiribam district, Kuki militants went on a rampage, burning houses and shops. Large numbers of Kuki militants launched an attack on a police station at Jiribam. The CRPF personnel retaliated resulting in the death of eleven Kuki militants.
