Imphal, Feb 9 (Reporter) Manipur Governor A K Bhalla on Sunday declared the Assembly session scheduled on Feb 10 as null and void. An order issued by the Assembly Secretary said that the Governor has issued an order which stated that, “in exercise of powers conferred by Clause (1) of Article 174 of the Constitution of India, I, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, Governor of Manipur, hereby order that the previous order dated 24 January 2025 to summon 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly's 7th Session, which is yet to commence, is hereby declared 'null and void' with immediate effect." The development followed after Chief Minister N Biren Singh submitted his resignation letter to the Governor, which was accepted and N Biren was asked by the Governor to continue as Caretaker Chief Minister until an alternative arrangement was made...////...
