Shillong, Aug 24 (Reporter) Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma, who was undergoing treatment for scrub typhus and typhoid
was released from the Civil Hospital here on Saturday, an official said.
“The Chief Minister has been discharged from Civil Hospital Shillong after receiving treatment for his medical conditions,” Principal Secretary Health and Family Welfare, Sampath Kumar, said.
“However, the Chief Minister continues to be under observation and will undergo treatment at his residence for the medical conditions caused by scrub typhus and typhoid,” he said.
Kumar said a medical team had visited the Chief Minister at the residence. “His vitals remain within the normal limit. He is under care at his residence,” he said.
Sangma was admitted to the Shillong Civil Hospital on Friday after feeling unwell on Thursday with a high temperature and severe illness.
“His blood tests confirmed that he contracted scrub typhus and typhoid,” health officials said...////...
