Pune, Feb 20 (Reporter) In a major operation launched by city police against drug traffickers, the Crime Branch on Tuesday seized 600 kg of mephedrone worth Rs 1,100 crore in a raid on Earthchem Laboratories Company situated in Kurkumbh Industrial Estate of MIDC area on Pune-Solapur highway. Addressing a press conference here, police commissioner Amitesh Kumar said that police team arrested gangsters Vaibhav alias Pintya Mane, Haider Sheikh, Ajay Karosia in mephedrone seizure case. A police team raided Sheikh's salt godown in Vishrantwadi and seized 55 kg mephedrone from the godown recently, he informed. During interrogation of accused Mane, Shaikh, Karosiya, police learned that mephedrone was being manufactured at Earthchem Laboratories in Kurkumbh Industrial Estate on Pune-Solapur highway, he said.
