Shimla, Feb 7 (Reporter) Minimum temperature plummeted to season lowest on Wednesday as tourist resorts Manali and Shimla were minus 3.2 and O.3 degrees, respectively, and both were three degrees below normal. The Indian Meteorological Department said that despite mainly dry and partly cloudy weather, cold wave conditions derailed normal life. The minimum temperature in most places in the high reaches was below freezing point and in the minus. Keylong and Kaza in Lahaul Spiti was coldest on Wednesday, recorded at minus 17 degrees and Minus 23 degrees, Kukumesri at minus 12 degrees, Kalpa at minus 5.8, tourist resort Narkanda at minus 4, Manali at minus 3.2, Kufri at minus 1.8, and Bharmour (Chamba) at minus three. The minimum temperature of Shimla was reeling below freezing point as it was minus 0.3 and 3.2 degrees below normal, Solan 0.2, Bhuntar airport 0.4, Jubberhati, Mandi, Chamba, Una, and Kangra two, Nahan and Dharmshala three each, and Bilaspur five degrees. Around 338 major roads, four National Highways, and 123 power lines are out of order due to recent snowfall in the state. Around 151 roads are snowbound in Lahaul Spiti, 59 in Shimla, 50 in Kullu, and 46 in Chamba district. According to Lahaul Spiti district administration, Atal tunnel Rohtang is allowing four-by-four driving vehicles only until inclement weather conditions prevail in both portals of Rohtang tunnel...////...
