Hyderabad, Jan 24 (Reporter) Telangana Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister Capt N Uttam Kumar Reddy emphasised the cultural and spiritual importance of the 400-year-old Jan Pahad Dargah, describing it as a symbol of communal harmony that attracts devotees from Telangana and neighbouring states. Attending the Urs festivities at the Dargah of Hazrath Sayyad Mohiuddin Shaheed and Hazrath Sayyad Jan Paak Shaheed in Palakeedu Mandal, Huzurnagar constituency, Minister Uttam participated in the traditional 'sandal' ceremony and recalled his contributions to the Dargah’s development. He assured devotees of the government’s commitment to further improving infrastructure, including road expansions and enhanced pilgrim facilities, to accommodate the growing number of visitors. Reddy announced several developmental projects for the Jan Pahad region, including the construction of a high-level bridge at Rs 3.90 crore, upgrading the Jawahar Lift Irrigation Scheme to benefit 10,000 acres, and various road connectivity projects worth over Rs 40 crore. Additionally, funds have been allocated for a new Tehsildar office, MPDO office, police station, healthcare facilities, and essential infrastructure such as CC roads, drainage systems, and drinking water solutions. Calling the residents of Huzurnagar and Kodad constituencies his extended family, he pledged to focus on inclusive growth and ensure that essential services and development reach even the remotest areas.
