Aizawl, Aug 4 (Reporter) Mizoram Police and Excise & Narcotics department officials have seized total 89.317 kg of heroin and 335.605 kg of methamphetamine during last seven months (January to July), officials of both the departments said on Sunday. Police seized 57.126 kg of heroin and 223.077 kg of methamphetamine during the period while Excise & Narcotics department officials seized 32.191 kg of heroin and 112.528 kg of methamphetamine during the same period. Police and Excise & Narcotics department officials seized 264.066 kg and 436.088 kg of ganja (cannabis), respectively. Police also seized 35.155 kg of crystal meth during the same period. According to police estimate, the seized crystal meth is worth over Rs 105.46 crore, while the seized heroin and methamphetamine by police are worth Rs 17.14 crore and Rs 29 crore, respectively.
