Bengaluru, March 11 (Reporter) In a serious accusation regarding potential efforts to amend the Indian Constitution, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expressing his thoughts on the issue through BJP MP Ananthkumar Hegde.
He also gave a clarion call to the deprived people to oppose this idea of the BJP and feared 'bloodshed' in the country if the Constitution is changed.
"Changing the constitution is BJP's hidden agenda. The poor, backward, minorities of the entire country should oppose this idea of the BJP. If the Constitution is changed, there will be bloodshed in the country. PM Modi is expressing his thoughts through Ananthkumar," he told reporters here.
Siddaramaiah also alleged that the BJP intends to implement the principles of Manusmmriti and it does not have any faith in democracy.
"They have no faith in democracy but intended to implement the principles of Manusmriti," he said when he was asked to comment on BJP calling Hegde's 'Constitution Tweaking' remarks as his personal.
Siddaramaiah added: "How will Anantkumar Hegde's stamenet be personal? He is a sitting BJP MP and a senior leader, and also was in the cabinet...////...
