Baragarh (Odisha), May 11 (Reporter) Sharpening his attack on the Naveen Patnaik-led Odisha government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said the chief minister has outsourced the management of his government in the state. Addressing his second leg of electioneering in Odisha for both Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, at Baragarh in western Odisha, his third election meeting of the day, Modi said that the state is not being run by a democratically elected chief minister but by a super chief minister. He said the Biju Janata Dal government of Patnaik has failed to take the state out of poverty and also make any desired development despite remaining in power for 25 years. The law and order situation in the state has collapsed, crimes like murders are being committed, even a minister is being murdered in broad daylight, Modi said, adding that consumption of narcotics have destroyed the youths and people are not getting the minimum facilities as the entire governance of the state has been outsourced. Holding the BJD responsible for the present state of affairs, the prime minister said the time has come to remove the corrupt BJD out of power in the elections. He said nature has given the state everything needed for its development, but the BJD leaders have usurped it and appealed to the people to save Odisha from being further ruined. Odisha is a great state with grand culture and tradition but it is being ruined by the outsiders who have captured it. The prime minister said anger among the people of the state against the BJD leaders is clearly visible, and asked the people how far they would tolerate such misrule. He appealed to the people of the state to save Odisha from the clutches of BJD rule and vote for the BJP candidates for both Lok Sabha and State Assembly . When Modi asked the crowd whether the administration of Odisha should go to an outsider, an emphatic "No" echoed from all corners. Despite being rich in natural resources, Odisha, he said has become the poorest state of the country as BJD leaders are busy making money Accusing the BJD government of betraying the people of the state, Modi said the farmers are getting only Rs 1,600 to Rs 1,700 MSP per quintal of paddy against Rs 2,100 fixed by the government and the rest of the money is going into the pockets of the BJP leaders. Modi announced that if the BJP is voted to power, the MSP of paddy would be hiked to Rs 3,100 and the money would be transferred to the accounts of the farmers within 48 hours. He asserted that the NDA will definitely win more than 400 seats in the Lok Sabha election while the Congress will lose its status of Opposition. The Congress party, he said, will get less seats than the age of its Sahebjada without naming Rahul Gandhi. He lashed out at the Congress party for insulting President Droupadi Murmu, Odisha's daughter, alleging that a day after the president visited Ram temple in Ayodhya, the Congress party in a press conference called for purification of the temple with Gangajal. The Congress party,Modi said, has not only insulted the president but the entire Adivasi samaj and appealed to people to ensure that the Congress candidates lose their deposits in the elections. The Congress party, the Prime Minister said intends to change the Constitution and take away the reservation of ST, SC and OBC people and give it to its vote bank which the BJP will not allow to happen at any cost...////...
